Guide Handbook

There is a guide handbook (edition 2012), which is updated every year and also given to students in printed form.

If you think something needs to be updated or there is something missing from this guide, your feedback to us (bmc-coordination@mailnavab.in.tum.de) is more than welcome!

There is also general information available for international students on Academic and Administrative Affairs from the Faculty of Informatics.

Official Academic and Examination Regulations (former: Study Regulations)

All officially announced documents can be found at MyTUM. In the following table you can find all relevant academic and examination regulations and the amendments to them. Too keep it simple, we have added a fake version of the BMC academic and examination regulations which incorporates all changes.

General and BMC Academic and Examination Regulations
General Academic and Examination Regulations, en, 15.10.2007 General Academic and Examination Regulations, de, 15.10.2007
BMC Academic and Examination Regulations, de, 16.3.2009
1st Amendment to BMC Regulations, 1.4.2010 2nd Amendment to BMC Regulations, 4.8.2010
2011 Academic and Examination Regulations 2012 Academic and Examination Regulations
Depending on when you have started with your BMC study, either the 2011 or 2012 version of the regulations apply to you. These regulations are called "3rd Amendment to BMC Regulations", which we refer to as 2011 regulations, and "4th Amendment to BMC Regulations", which we refer to as 2012 regulations. For both regulations the list of elective modules has been updated, and are now equal. This update is referred to as "Amendment to Elective Modules".
3rd Amendment to BMC Regulations, 20.10.2011 (in effect 1.10.2011) 4th Amendment to BMC Regulations, 29.01.2013 (in effect 1.10.2012)

FAKE Academic and Examination Regulations (including all changes)
To keep things simple, the BMC coordinators have incorporated (almost) all changes in the BMC Academic and Examination Regulations (2009). This results in one nice version for both, the 2011 and 2012 regulations. Please keep in mind, that these documents are not legally binding. The content comes from all amendments, but the incorporation has not been signed off by the legal department.
Amendment to Elective Modules is not yet incorporated!
