Follow The Magic Lense

This Work could be done in a BA, MA and Guided research thesis, the requirements are decided accordingly.

Interaction in an immersive virtual environment (IVE) such as a CAVE or in our case FRAVEis an important issue to investigate. To be able to select and manipulate the virtual object displayed in VR world. The User can do it through the Magic Lenses, Where the Frave provide the contextual view and the tracked Handheld device the focus view. The view frustum is calculated using handheld device position and orientation. The idea is to “Highlight“ all the time in the VE the point of interest that is visible on the magic lens, even in selection mode.

Or in other words simply take a snapshot with the handheld device, Android in our case, of the VR object to select and then manipulate (zoom, rotate) offline.

The Purpose of the project is to track the MAgic Lense and display a Visual feedback on the frave to follow the motion of the magic lense

This is work is going to be a part of an ongoing project Virtual Arabia.
