Overview
Artificial intelligence will play an increasingly important role in the medicine of the future. Already today, neural networks can be measured in diagnostics with specialists. This seminar is intended to give interested medical students an understanding of the theoretical and practical basics of programming neural networks for the purpose of medical diagnostics and thus familiarize them with a key technology of the medicine of the future. In the course of the seminar, students will design a neural network in the programming language Python that is capable of diagnosing melanomas. Previous knowledge is not required, all necessary skills are taught in the seminar. However, basic knowledge of programming is advantageous. A laptop is required for the attendance of the course!
