In this presentation, I start with the general description of personalized medicine and companion diagnostics, and show some applications of the concept based on medical imaging data. In addition, I show a number of examples, where mechanics and empirical models derived-from or complemented-with diagnostic imaging can be used as surrogates for clinical outcomes for certain procedures and how these models can be used in the framework of companion diagnostic concept.
