Recent progress in multiple-camera reconstruction, rendering, and object tracking
We are honored that Dr. Radu Horaud (leading the Perception a research group
at INRIA Grenoble Rhône-Alpes, France) accepted the invitation of "CoTeSys
cluster of excellence" in order to give a talk.
Dr. Radu Horaud
Dr. Radu Horaud is one of the pioneers and leading players in Computer
Vision, Image Understanding, Augmented Reality and Robotics. He produced
many 'must-read' papers in these topics. He is a member of the editorial
boards of several prestigious scientific journals in Computer Vision and
Robotics (see his biography and publications on his webpage for more
details).

Abstract of the talk:
In the recent past, multiple-camera analysis of complex scenes received a
lot of attention. The PERCEPTION group at INRIA developed a complete
multiple-camera system that takes as input synchronized image sequences and
that produces as output a point- or mesh-based reconstruction of the dynamic
scene. He will briefly present all the components of the system and then He
will give details on a few fundamental components such as:
robust point-based 3D reconstruction, mesh improvement, and
articulated-shape tracking. The presentation will be illustrated with
numerous examples.
