Counting data on a map on a multitouch table

Counting Data
Counting Data - Neclace

Within the project SpeedUp (http://www.speedup-projekt.de/) we develop a map application for mass casualty incidents. On this map application the user should be able to count the data on the map in a very short time. The task of the thesis is to develop different variations for counting the data on the map. Finally the different implementations should be evaluated.

TISCH, a multitouch table, which includes an ftir multitouch sensor and shadow tracking developed by Florian Echtler should be used as hardware. As development framework Microsoft Blend and C# should be used.

Tasks:

  • In depth literature search
  • Detailed concept
  • Development of an intuitive user interface and visualization for counting data
  • Evaluation of the prototype

Requirements

  • Communication skills and the ability to work in a team
  • Extraordinary motivation and the commitment to high performance
  • High interest in games and new user interfaces
