Postdoctoral Position in Computer Vision @ Technische Universität München

The chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures and Augmented Reality ( is interested in image fusion, feature extraction, and adaptation of enhanced or augmented data to real-world setups and workflows. Modeling multiple view geometry and real-time detection and tracking of markers and/or features are crucial elements required in the current research projects at our chair.

The chair is offering an attractive postdoctoral position in Computer Vision. The focus is on feature-based tracking for Augmented Reality applications. The successful candidate will have a pleasant working environment and an attractive academic offer. He/She will have the opportunity of supervising graduate and undergraduate students and take part in exciting research and development projects. The position is originally for one year but could be extended.

If you hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in computer science or electrical engineering, and have experience in 3D computer vision, object recognition, and/or feature-based/marker-based tracking and if you are a good team player, this position will offer great opportunities to start your research career in an exciting and multidisciplinary environment.

The chair has extensive collaborations with industrial partners. The postdoctoral candidate will have the opportunity of working directly with such partners.
