Dataset manager and annotation tool developer at Augenklinik der Universitat Munchen ( Update: In the interviewing process! Please don't submit your application -- 6th Nov. 2018)
We are looking for a student to support us in a joint project with our partners in Augenklinik der Universität München. This job is intended for a long-term HiWi
who will be available for 6 months (20 hrs/week).
1) Fetching the data from PACs, data warehouse: The student must be able to query data
from SQL (will be trained for) and present some data descriptors (imbalance, box plots,
histogram describing the data). SQL queries need to be written in python.
2) Help in developing some in-house data science pipeline e.g. managing and developing
the existing docker priority pipeline for running deep learning applications on multi-
GPU system. Ques needs to be written in python (with using API from python)
3) Build an annotation tool for physicians to annotate medical images using i) painting
brush, or ii) labeling region of interests (ROIs), and to double check (edit/correct) the
patient’s diagnosis per visit and store the modified labels together with the
annotations. Annotation tool needs to be built in python (e.g. with ‘tkinter’ package) here
System Administration at Neurology Department of Klinikum Grosshadern
The neurology department at Klinikum Großhadern is offering a paid HiWi position for IT system administration. The position is preferably for German speakers
. The job comprises hard- and software installation, maintenance and administration in a heterogeneous network of Windows, Linux and MacOS devices (both physical and virtual workstations, running on a small server cluster). The position will take approx. 8h/week and will be executed at the site of the neurology department at Klinikum Grosshadern (final stop of U6 in the South). Advantages are working in a complex IT setup which is situated directly in the clinic and partly in the station ward, offering a unique insight into the clinical environment. We are continously looking for motivated students interested to work as HiWis at the chair. You should have programming skills (C++, Python, Matlab) and possibly a strong mathematical background, depending on the project.

The Chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures is currently looking for at least one Hiwi (studentische Hilfskraft, 8-10 hours/week) for system administration duties. There are a variety of tasks, ranging from server maintenance, user management to inventory management, along with, optionally, web development using Typo3 and Wikis. Prerequisites are knowledge about networks, Linux-based servers and the ability to quickly learn new things.
