Abstract
The objective of this project is to develop a computer aided diagnosis tool to detect colon motility disorders by using cine MRI. The necessary image processing consists of breathing motion compensation, colon segmentation and modelling the natural motion of the colon. New algorithms for measuring the isometry of colon extension should be developed. A prototype software has been already implemented and should be improved in terms of usability.
