Ambient Interfaces - Ubiquitous Tracking and the Sphere of Vision
The International Young Researchers' Workshop on Ambient Interfaces, Osaka, Japan, Nov. 11 - 12, 2007. (bib)

Ambient Interfaces and Augmented Reality have several common issues. This report documents some of the links between both areas of research. Through a general investigation of Ubiquitous Augmented Reality as the reasearch focus of the FAR group in Munich, two sub-issues are investigated: Ubiquitous Tracking and ambient car driver interfaces. Through the Sphere of Vision and a system architecture for Ubiquitous Tracking, the link to Ambient Interfaces is revealed. Finally, future work explains the further common way between Ambient Interfaces and AR.
