EVI - Easy Visualization In-Situ

Using the RAMP in-situ visualization system originally developed at Siemens Corporate Research different visualization modes were implemented and evaluated. The video shows the hardware setup combining a head-mounted display, an single camera inside out tracking system, and an external optical infrared tracking system. Furthermore, different visualization modes based in a CT and MRI scan of one of our team members are presented.
The system was presented live at ISMAR conference 2005 in Vienna, Austria, DGU 2005 in Berlin, Germany, and MICCAI 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Further work within this project will be the augmentation of smell for better enhancement of the reality ...
