Integration of a low energy radiation source in MRI environment for intraoperative applications - a Feasibility Evaluation
25th International Conference of the International Society for Medical Innovation and Technology, iSMIT 2013 in Baden-Baden, Germany, September 05-07, 2013 (bib)

Intra-operative radiation therapy (IORT) could be used as a replacement of or complimentary to traditional external beam radiation therapy (EBRT). Precise navigation and guidance of such a radiation source inside the operating room is crucial for optimum dose application and avoidance of healthy tissue damage. We therefore propose an optically tracked low energy x-ray source combined with side by side MR.
