Brief Bio

Benjamin Busam is a PhD candidate with the Computer Vision Group at the Chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures, TUM and a development engineer at FRAMOS Imaging Systems. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the Technical University of Munich in 2011. In his subsequent postgraduate programme, he studied Mathematics and Physics at ParisTech, France and at the University of Melbourne, Australia, before he degreed with distinction at TU Munich in 2014. In continuation to his Master's thesis on “Projective Geometry and 3D point cloud matching”, he now focuses his research and development on 2D/3D object detection and pose estimation for both outside-in and inside-out tracking. For his work on adaptable high-resolution real-time stereo tracking he received the EMVA Young Professional Award 2015 from the European Machine Vision Association.

The Imaging Systems department of FRAMOS has dedicated itself entirely to 3D image processing solutions.
There are always available topics for Bachelor's or Master's theses with potential industry support.
FRAMOS is constantly looking for motivated working students, graduates and young professionals. We offer internships in different fields of application in computer vision within the industry.
